Kahikatea's tech group 5 were in Food, and in small groups amongst themselves, had to bring recipes from home. Then they had to decide what two dishes they would cook and present at the tasting  night for parents. On the day of the taster the students prepped/cooked their dishes, and then came back later and presented them to everyone. Everybody really enjoyed the night and had a lovely time.

Students from room 5 that were involved:
Max (macaroni), Keenan (rice pudding, macaroni), Jasmine (Russian dumplings), Chloe (bacon and egg muffin cups), Ebony (bacon and egg muffin cups) and Georgia (blueberry muffins, rice bubble cake).

Room 5 spent time at Stubb's Farm near Waitomo for a day of abseiling, caving and fun team building activities. Pictured are some of the class on the abseiling cliff where every student made it down, many experiencing this for the first time. The students were in the capable hands of instructors from Waitomo and had a great day of fun. Thanks must go to the four dads who attended to assist- Mr Curwood, Mr Tate, Mr Brown and Mr Hallen.
