Class Farewell to Teacher

Georgia's cake
The class farewelled their teacher Mr Metcalfe at a shared lunch yesterday as he will be absent for the rest of the school year due to a hip replacement operation and time required for recovery. Libby and Bailey spoke on behalf of the class, presented him with a giant "Get Well Soon" card signed by the class, and wished their teacher well, and Georgia presented a specially baked cake for the occasion. Mr Metcalfe is aiming to be back for the last day of the school year.

Chess Nationals

Jasmine

In the recent holidays I went down to Nelson to the Chess Champions Trophy tournament. Out of 80 kids from  juniors to seniors I got 33rd and also achieved a half point off the best girl, making myself tied with second best girl. (I personally prefer saying that I was the best Intermediate School girl) -Jasmine Podmore
