2014 Jump Jam team Competition

The Kahikatea team Jump Jam team at the 2014 Competition is pictured above after competing in the school final in front of a very enthusiastic audience. Unfortunately, they were not placed in the top three, but we still thought they did a fantastic job and represented us all really well. The team finished in a very respectable 4th place. Room 5 participants were Robbie Wilkinson, Aidan Scott-Nanthasack, Holly Walsh, Ariana Ewart-Fuller and Natalie Posa.

Waikato Rugby selection

Room 5 student Harry Yates has been selected in the Under 13 years Roller Mills squad to represent Waikato at the 2014 tournament. He played No 8 and was captain of the team for Hamilton Panthers in the recently completed Gwynne Shield tournament held in Cambridge where they finished in 4th place. The 2014 Roller Mills tournament will be played within a new format this year after a century where teams played over a week long tournament hosted within a provincial Rugby Union. The new format sees teams playing over a number of weekends to cut down on rapidly escalating costs, meeting firstly in Cambridge and finally in the Bay of Plenty. We wish Harry and the team all the best of luck.
