The Kahikatea team were successful in retaining the trophy for the Great Teams' Spelling Challenge held in the auditiorium this week. The successful team were Jessica Needham, Eden French-Putu (both Room 5) and Kauri Tearaura (Room 6). Teams from across the school compete against each other in speed events, spelling backwards, choosing words of different points value, and alternate letters. Over the rounds, teams drop out, until the final two teams are left. The reserve "Super Speller" for our team was Sheridan Tuimaseve, (also from Room 5).
