School ANZAC Ceremony

Ben Needham leading the ANZAC ceremony.

Representatives from each class bring forward their ANZAC flags.

The "flags" are hung from the tree branches.

At our final school Assembly for term 1, the school attended a moving ANZAC ceremony in our auditorium beginning with the Maeroa Pasifika group performing, then the school sang our National Anthem, a moving slide show (created by Mr Hills) was viewed on New Zealand's participation in wars around the world, we had a reading from our Deputy Principal Ms Woods, the school sang "Forever Strong", and finished with representatives from each class presenting their amazing banners to decorate a tree. The ceremony was led by Ben Needham from Room 5, and Alanis Hayes from Room 4.
