101 Word Story Competition success

A student from Room 5 has gained first place in the school wide 101 word story competition for 2013. The task was to write using exactly 101 words on a topic (excluding the heading) and include ten given words, be coherent and error free. Fallon Goodson was announced the winner at school assembly, and two other students from Room 5 were Highly Commended. They were Shyla Paikea-Lepulu and Phaeora Sims.
Fallon's story is below with the ten words highlighted-

                          "I Made A Difference"
I was uncertain about this but I was completely over having to tie my brother's shoe laces. He stretched out and grabbed his shoe with a determined look. He bowed down - all of a sudden a deflated look appeared on his face and I could tell he was now challenged by the knotted shoe laces that stared back at him. After 10 minutes of struggling he was finally starting to get it. "Cross this one over." He started singing. Once he was done he screamed a definite "I did it!" He walked away humbly, that's when I knew I had made a difference.
