School ANZAC Assembly 2015

The white crosses at the front of the school!
The 100th anniversary of the ANZAC landing in Gallipoli in Turkey during World War 1 which saw New Zealanders and Australians fighting side by side in a disastrous campaign, has been celebrated by the school in a special assembly attended by special guests. Pictured below are images from the ceremony in the school auditorium. Room 5 was featured with Natalie reading about a WW1 poem called "Fallen Youth" which was carried through recent campaigns by a NZ soldier in Afghanistan, and has been recorded as a song by NZ singer, which was featured in the ceremony. Jesse represented the class by carrying the class banner which he was instrumental in designing.
