Our Kahikatea team attended their school camp this week at the Narrows Park Christian Camp near Hamilton and despite the weather, had a fantastic three days of activities. All four classes kayaked down the Waikato River in double kayaks, learnt bush skills and built bivouacs to sleep out under. The challenge activities were very popular with students participating in Go Karts, Archery, Downhill Trolleys, Air Rifles, a team building Creek Challenge, and Orienteering. Students also participated in Slingshot Paintball and had a free swim, plus went Water-sliding, cooked marsh-mellows and damper with sausages over a fire, and played Spotlight. The final day was spent cleaning up and viewing skits by other students in the camp skits concert. A wonderful three days with amazing meals supplied by the kitchen staff and dished up by a wonderful and supportive group of parents.
