Team Camp at Narrows Park

Kahikatea team spent three days and two nights in week 4 of the first term at the Narrows Park camp where the students spent a half day kayaking on Lake Karapiro, built bivouacs to sleep in overnight, participated in activities such as Go-karts, Downhill Trolleys, Archery, Rifle Shooting, Run the Gauntlet (through a mud trail), and an Amazing Race, plus had fun on the water slide and in the swimming pool. Students slept in dormitories on their second night, and also enjoyed the awesome meals cooked by the camp staff and served in the dining room. The three days ended with a camp skits concert. Thanks go to the sixteen parents who accompanied the students at camp and the five teachers who were kept busy 24 hours at a time.
