The Trans-Tasman Battle

Room 5 has had a friendly trans-Tasman rivalry with our Australian born Deputy Principal this term due to the early successes of the Black Caps over Australia in cricket. However, we were made "to eat humble pie" when the Aussies defeated NZ in the one day series and first test. This came in the form of Mr D publishing clever little notices about us in the daily notices. Room 5 decided to get back at him by decorating his office in pro-NZ posters, flags, and whatever we could get hold of at the time. We also provided him with a cake (our "humble pie"). After the decorating, a group of our Room 5 students lay in wait for him to return and duly sang our National Anthem to him when he walked in the door. The students were Jessica Needham, Makenzee Wells, Jessica Forkert and Anna Butcher. We eagerly await the rugby season.
