Waitomo Visit

Ready to enter the Waitomo Caves

On the Ruakuri Walk
Friendly wild life!

Room 5 students spent the day at Waitomo in the King Country visiting the famous Waitomo Caves, exploring at the Discovery Centre, and tramping through the bush over a collapsed cave on the Ruakuri Reserve Walk. We learnt heaps about glow worms, caves formed from limestone, and the geology of the area. An interesting day enjoyed by all, with great support from the parents who accompanied the group.
